Once known as the ‘Mother of Agricultural Settlements’, Petach Tikva is today the second largest industrial city in Israel after Haifa. The Israel headquarters of many multinational businesses are located here, including major communications and hi-tech companies. The city boasts 6 hospitals – including the world-renowned Schneider Pediatric Center – and 300 schools. Its fast-growing population makes it the third largest city in the Gush Dan area.
